With my parents continued support, their wish on any special occation is for me to share my passion for cooking with the family.
On an occation such as this one, Father's Day was spend in the company of family, making it even more special that I can count on all of them to offer a helping hand in the kitchen.
With my homemade bison burgers (or as my brother Lucas called it "heaven on a bun") and a side of oven roasted sweet potatoes. The patties were made with ground bison, minced green apple, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper. Grilled to perfection by Lucas, it was then topped with sharp cheddar cheese and fried onions, on a toasted bun with lettuce. Although there is room for extra toppings, we thought we would let the burger speak for itself. And it did!
